Devil In Ohio (Limited Series)

Emily Deschanel (Bones) takes the lead role in this thriller series as a hospital psychiatrist who takes it upon herself to shelter a young girl who has escaped from a cult. This kind act has unfortunate consequences, however, as the girl starts to cause major problems for the psychiatrist and her family.

Fakes: Season 1

Most teenage girls take on paper rounds or babysitting jobs to raise a bit of extra cash. The girls in this series, however, make money by building one of the largest fake ID empires in North America! This 10-episode series stars Emilija Baranac (Charmed) and Jennifer Tong (Honey Girls) as the budding young entrepreneurs.

You’re Nothing Special: Season 1

In this Spanish comedy series, young Amaia is certainly very special as she has inherited magical powers from her grandmother. Centuries ago, the local villagers would have accused her of witchcraft and burned her at the stake but in this new show, the people in Amaia’s town are far more accepting of her unique abilities.

Little Women: Season 1

In this K-drama, three sisters who grew up in poverty get embroiled in a major incident and find themselves facing off against one of the wealthiest families in the nation. Kim Go Eun (Yumi’s Cells), Nam Ji Hyun (The Witch’s Diner) and Ji-hu Park (All Of Us Are Dead) are the sisters whose lives are radically changed in this exciting new story.

Indian Predator: The Diary Of a Serial Killer

After The Butcher of Delhi, this latest in the Indian Predator true-crime documentary series tells the story of Raja Kolander, a man accused of murder and cannibalism. But is he guilty of the horrific crimes of which he has been accused? Through interviews with the man himself and information gained via his diaries, we are given the opportunity to get closer to the truth.

The Imperfects: Season 1

Following experimental gene therapy that turns them into monsters, Abbi, Juan and Tilda band together to hunt down Dr Alex Sarkov, the scientist who experimented on them as part of a plan to usher in the next stage of human evolution. Will the three 20-somethings regain their human identities? Or will they be forced to live out their days as something less than perfect? All will be revealed in this ‘coming of rage’ story.

End Of The Road (2022)

In this exciting new thriller, Queen Latifah stars as Brenda, a recently widowed woman, who drives her family across the country to start a new life. That’s the plan but their lives are upended when they become the targets of a mysterious killer en route to their destination.

No Limit (2022)

French romance movie about a young woman who decides to swap her student life in Paris for life as a deep sea diver in the south of France. While there, she falls in love with her record-holding freediving instructor and enters into a passionate relationship with him. She is then pushed to her limits as both a diver and as a lover as she travels with her new beau to dive competitions around the world.

Cobra Kai: Season 5

Cobra Kai is one of the most action-packed shows on Netflix. It’s also one of the funniest! If you’re a fan, you’ll be as keen as we are to see the fifth season of the show. This time around, Johnny and Robby go on a road trip in search of Miguel, the villainous Terry Silver takes over Cobra Kai, and Danny brings in an old friend (and enemy) to aid him in his fight against Silver. We cannot wait!

Sins Of Our Mother (Limited Series)

Lori Vallow seemed to be a loving wife and mother so why is she now in prison waiting to stand trial for conspiracy to commit murder and first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of her fourth husband, fifth husband’s wife, and two young children? In this riveting new documentary, her surviving son Colby gives an insight into his family backstory and we get to learn more about Vallow and her involvement with the murderous cult that led her down a very dark path.

Do Revenge (2022)

With a plotline seemingly inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s Strangers On A Train, this American black comedy focuses on two teenagers who agree to take down each other’s bullies. The teens in question are Drea (Camila Mendes), who wants revenge on her boyfriend after he leaks a sex tape of her, and Eleanor (Maya Hawke), who wants to get back at a girl who started a rumour about her and made her a social outcast.

Drifting Home (2022)

Studio Colorido, the animation studio behind A Whisker Away, has produced this exciting new anime for Netflix about a group of childhood friends who return to the housing complex that they grew up in during their summer vacation. All would appear to be normal until they find themselves at the centre of a strange phenomenon which causes the housing complex to drift out into the ocean with the youngsters inside!

I Used To Be Famous (2022)

Many people in the entertainment industry fall out of the spotlight after finding fame early on in their careers. Such is the case for Vince (Ed Skrein), the musician in this new British movie, who tries to climb the fame ladder again after falling from glory years before. He gets his chance at a comeback when he forms a new musical act with autistic teenager Stevie (Leo Long), a talented drummer.

Thai Cave Rescue (Limited Series)

In the summer of 2018, a Thai football team and their coach became trapped underground in the Tham Luang Nang Non cave after an unseasonal bout of heavy rain caused massive flooding. The rescue mission to help the boys was recently dramatized by Ron Howard in the acclaimed movie Thirteen Lives and in this new Netflix series, we are given further insight into the lives of the trapped boys and the people who risked their lives to save them.

23rd September

Lou (2022)

When a young girl is kidnapped, her mother sets out to rescue her, with the aid of Lou, her mysterious neighbour. This promising new thriller stars Allison Janney as the woman of the title and Jurnee Smollett as the mother desperate to bring her child home to safety.

A Jazzman’s Blues (2022)

In Tyler Perry’s passion project set in the post-World War II South, a young Black jazz singer leaves his home town in search of fame. He finds more than that as, on his journey, he also finds love with a woman, a relationship that is destined to have dangerous consequences. Ryan Eggould and Milauna Jackson star in this tale of forbidden love, deceit, and murder.

Fullmetal Alchemist: The Final Alchemy (2022)

In this conclusion to the Fullmetal Alchemist live-action trilogy, the Elric brothers’ journey comes to a close when they face off against an unworldly, nationwide threat. If you’re a fan of the movies or the Manga from which they originated, you will want to tune into this one.

Blonde (2022)

You may have seen Marilyn Monroe biopics before but if you’re expecting something that could be classed as ‘conventional’ when watching Andrew Dominik’s new film, you will be in for a surprise. This is a fictional and taboo-busting look at the actress’s short life and contains extreme content that has earned it an NC-17 rating in the US. Ana de Armas stars as the Hollywood icon whose turbulent life came to a very tragic end.

30th September

Entergalactic: Season 1

In this adult-animated music series based on Kid Cudi’s upcoming album of the same name, Jabari (voiced by Kid Cudi himself), a charming, streetwear-clad artist on the cusp of success, has a run-in with Meadow (voiced by Jessica Meadows), his new neighbour, and has to work out whether or not he has time for love in his life. Timothée Chalamet, Macauley Culkin, and Vanessa Hudgens are among the talented voice cast in this New York-set tale.

Rainbow (2022)

This Spanish-language movie about a young teenager’s coming of age is loosely based on L Frank Baum’s classic novel ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’ though you shouldn’t expect to see a cowardly talking lion or a heartless tin man in this contemporary tale. The modern-day Dorothy (Dora Postigo) at the heart of the story will still have to face an assortment of challenges, however, including a woman who promises to make her the richest person in the world!
